Core features

Course Kit's three core features work on their own or mixed together. Not sure where to start? Follow the Quick Start guide.

Get started in 3 steps

  1. Pick your use case: self-learners start with Self Courses; coaches go straight to Collaborate and create their first course.
  2. Self Courses: log your first session in under 30 seconds.
  3. Collaborate: sign up with Google or Email, join a manager's course, and instantly see shared session counts.

FAQ

Can managers or members see my data?

No. The sessions you log yourself are private and never show up on anyone else's calendar.

For courses you run, each student only sees their own record. They can see their own remaining session count, but not your other students' records, and they don't know what courses you take elsewhere.

Self Courses vs. Collaborate, which one should I use?

If you just want to log your own sessions, use Self Courses, your data stays private. If you need to manage students and schedule sessions, use Collaborate, where multiple people share the same calendar.

You can use both together too, they run independently. Coaches start with Collaborate, students start with Self Courses.

Why does one account have two roles?

You might be a PM at the office by day and teach piano on the side at night. Switching roles doesn't mean becoming two different people.

So every account comes with two roles by default: Manager for running your own courses, Member for taking someone else's. No signing out and back in, and no second account.

Why neutral terms like Manager / Member?

Lots of services charge by session count, coaches, tutors, and nail techs all use this model. Teacher felt too academic, shop felt too commercial, so we settled on Manager / Member, terms that fit anyone.

The rest of this guide just says coach and student for readability. When you read coach, think of the side running the course; when you read student, think of the side taking it.
