How to Use
-
1. Add a course
Self Courses is the first screen when you open the App. Before you have any courses, tap the + button in the bottom right to create your first one; once you have at least one, tap the + icon in the top right to keep adding more. Each course includes:
- Course name (e.g. piano, English tutoring)
- Category (instrument, language, fitness, or your own custom ones)
- Total sessions and price per session
- Start date and expiry date
-
2. Log a session
After each session, open the course and tap Use Course.
Fractional sessions supported: log a half session or 1.5 sessions, useful for half-price billing or make-up sessions after a missed one.
-
3. Turn on expiry reminders
This is a two-part setup. The course's own expiry date is set when you add or edit the course. Whether you actually get notified is controlled separately in Settings → Self Courses → Expiry Reminder, where you can also choose how far in advance you want to be notified. With both set, the App sends a push notification before the course expires, so you catch the right moment to renew.
-
4. Export to Excel
Settings → Self Courses → Export Data lets you export all your records to Excel in one tap, including each session's date, amount, and notes, so you always have a copy on hand.
-
5. Manage categories
Settings → Self Courses → Category Management lets you add, edit, and delete categories. For example, split "instrument" into separate "piano" and "guitar" categories.
